- May 21, 2008 - Digital Solutions Seminar: Monitor Calibration and Profiling
Overview: If you are looking to improve the quality of your images or you would like to feel more confident about the images you are selling, then you should seriously consider learning as much as you can about monitor calibration and profiling. It is now possible, with advances in software and hardware, to setup a quality monitor to truthfully reflect how that image will reproduce.
Without an accurate monitor profile and proper calibration, your images will not be displayed properly and you will be making improper adjustments based on incorrect information.
This seminar is an essential first step for anyone working with digital images.
In this 2-hour seminar you will learn:
- What software and hardware are recommended for accurate monitor viewing
- Learn the essentials of how to properly calibrate and profile your monitor
- What do you have to spend to get accurate colour?
- Through demonstrations you will learn how to calibrate and profile a monitor
- How to use a reference image to evaluate your monitor
- How do environmental conditions influence what you see?
- What are the differences between low-end and high-end LCDs?
