Visit the Pro Centre at the Show!

Professionals from across Canada are invited to join the staff of Headshots and Jones House for a unique presentation of hardware and software as they relate to today's dynamic workflow. Our newest area of the Photographic & Digital Imaging Show will feature the Pro Centre.

The Pro Centre will showcase selected manufacturers in a hands-on environment with a strong emphasis on in-depth discussions and presentations of technology in over 5,000 square feet of space specifically designed for professionals. With a number of full-size shooting sets, Jones House imaging services, large format printers, plus vendor booths and a presentation stage with scheduled speakers, the Pro Centre is sure to be a popular destination for professional and advanced amateur guests alike.

The Pro Centre will be open to professionals on Friday, October 16 BY INVITATION ONLY, and to the balance of the Henry's Photographic & Digital Imaging Show guests on Saturday and Sunday.

Featuring Guest Speakers Tony Corbell and Bobbi Lane

Tony L. Corbell Sr. Mgr. Product Education and Planning Nik Software, Inc.

In his high energy career, Tony has photographed three U.S. presidents, 185 World Leaders, 65 Nigerian Heads
of State, about 600 brides and grooms, a couple of NASA astronauts and lots of famous and not so famous
faces since he began in 1979.

He has spoken at over 350 seminars and workshops nationally and internationally. He is the recipient of the
highest honor from the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International with their Lifetime Achievement Award and achieved the status of
Photographic Craftsman from the Professional Photographers of America.  In 2005, Tony received the “Photographer of the Year” Award from the International Photographic Council of the United Nations at a ceremony in New York at the U.N. and the PPA National Award from the Professional Photographers of California.

Tony was also invited to join the prestigious Camera Craftsmen Of America in 2007, one of only 40 members worldwide. In 2007/08, Tony spoke to over 8,000 photographers in 36 cities including London, Glasgow, Dublin, Toronto, Mexico City, Sydney and many more U.S. cities. 2009 will again be busy with Tony traveling to London, Germany and many other cities discussing lighting and image editing.

Tony has always been active as a student and a teacher of photographic education and his Basic Studio Lighting book from publishTony L. Corbell er AmPhoto has been popular worldwide and is the basis for numerous photographic college lighting courses.  His new Location Lighting DVD produced by Software Cinema has received great reviews and is available on-line.  He has written articles in every major photographic magazine in the U.S., Japan, the U.K.  and China. He is currently one of a select few Approved Photographic Instructors from the Professional Photographers of America…and he’s the biggest Beatles fan alive.

Bobbi Lane

Bobbi Lane is a commercial photographer specializing in creative portraits in studio and on location.
Lane's multi-faceted approach to photography incorporates over 30 years of technical experience with Bobbi Laneinnovative
artistic interpretation. Lane shoots primarily people for editorial, corporate, and advertising accounts as well as
photographing "real people" and travel for stock. Her stock photography has sold worldwide for ads, posters,
and billboards.

Bobbi's clients include: Charles Schwab, GE, Warner Bros., PricewaterhouseCoopers, Samsung, Bose Corp.,
Neutrogena, Mattel, Maui Music Festival, McDonnell/Douglas, Sears' Tower Skydeck, and the Morro Bay Natural History Museum.

As a dedicated photo educator, she brings insight and enthusiasm to her fun-filled workshops. Bobbi's excellent rapport and communication with her students inspires and motivates, while her straight-forward teaching style reaches students of many different skill levels. Her students nicknamed her “Mistress of Light.”

Bobbi teaches her own Bobbi Lane Workshops in Connecticut, at the Santa Fe Workshops, the Maine Workshops, the Julia Dean Workshops, and the International Center for Photography in New York City. She also teaches internationally for Gulf Photo Plus in Dubai. She is the Chair of the Education Committee for Advertising Photographers of America, and the creator of their Successful Emerging Photographer’s program.
Bobbi is a Contributing Editor to Photo Techniques magazine, and author of the book, Creative Techniques for Color Photography, published by Amherst Media. Her new book, co-authored with fashion photographer Lou Lesko, is “Advertising Photography; A Straightforward Guide to a Complex Industry ”, and was released in the fall of 2007 by Thomson Course Technology. She developed the content and filmed two instructional DVDs, Portrait Lighting Techniques and Portraits Unplugged, which are available through Calumet Photographic.
